Perry Plumbing Heating & Air Honored as BBB Torch Award Finalist
The long-established Perry Plumbing Heating & Air was among eight finalists at the BBB’s 18th annual Torch Awards for Marketplace Ethics, held Dec. 8, at the Town & Country Resort & Convention Center in Mission Valley. The family-owned company, founded by Harley Perry in 1977, was recognized within the category of 11 to 24 employees and cited for its “exceptional standards evident in the transparency of their operations” and “the integrity of the team as a whole.” Perry Plumbing has been providing quality commercial and residential plumbing services and repairs throughout San Diego County for 38 years. It recently added HVAC services to its operation as well, and currently has 19 full-time employees. The company’s mission statements are to consistently maintain focus on ultimate customer satisfaction; provide opportunities for employees to improve their standards of living; and to ensure continuous growth and the ability to give back to the community.
Harley Perry is Perry is president of the PHCC Academy of San Diego, a federally certified school launched in 2009 that offers two and four-year programs for apprentices and journeymen. He is also a longtime, active member of PHCC’s San Diego chapter.
